Here are some reminder tips:1. Try to meet new customers in your office prior to meeting them out at a house.
If you need to say it's my Broker's policy to meet customers at the office prior to showing homes, than use that tactic. Some agents also also ask to make a copy of their driver's license as well (again just say it's new policy in light recent issues). Meeting new clients at the office prior to showings is not just a safety issue but a great opportunity to set the right expectations for your clients and to get necessary info from them so you can serve them better.
2. Check in with a spouse, friend, or other realtor, if you plan on showing homes to someone you are not that familiar with, make your check-in phone call within ear shot of your customer, letting your check-in partner know what the name is of the person you are showing homes to.

4. Some women carry a weapon or defensive device of some kind. I personally don't recommend those because of the fear of those items being used against you, however, do what makes you feel more comfortable or safer, but please be careful and get good training if you go that route.
5. Listen to your instincts, if the situation feels off, end the situation. Be safe out there.
